Adult Care Apprenticeships

We currently offer the following Apprenticeships:-

Adult Care Worker (equivalent to a Level 2)

Lead Adult Care Worker (equivalent to a Level 3)

Adult Care Worker (Level 2) includes:

A vocational qualification (Diploma), which is the equivalent to a Level 2 Diploma in Care, the Care Certificate, on-the-job training, functional skills (English and Maths) at Level 1 and a summative end point assessment.

Lead Adult Care Worker (Level 3) includes:

A vocational qualification (Diploma), which is the equivalent to a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care, the Care Certificate, on-the-job training, functional skills (English and Maths) at Level 2 and a summative end point assessment.

Entry requirements

No formal qualifications are needed to take on this course. However, the following are required

  • At least 18 years of age
  • A caring and supportive approach to working with others
  • Working in an appropriate care setting in a paid or voluntary position
Course Assessment

Apprenticeship delivery includes a variety of on and off-the-job elements. We offer the following support: –

  • 1:1 tutorials with a designated assessor

  • Physical resources i.e. workbooks, handouts

  • Online resources, e-learning and referrals to online sources of support

  • Pastoral support provided by a mentor

  • Out of hours delivery if required for successful achievement

  • Support and a mini toolkit for employers

Course Duration

Adult Care Worker (level 2) – 14 month time period from start to completion.

Lead Adult Care Worker – it may take longer, so we allow 18 months from start to completion.
